Edith Patch Residence Hall

The University of Maine, Orono, Maine - 2000

This 52,000 square foot, 200-bed complex comprised of four brick clad building blocks, stepped and arcing subtly along the edge of a wood, architecturally demarcate a new campus quad.  While working at Orcutt Associates, Mr. Santerre was project architect from concept design to the building’s 2000 completion.  This $6.5 million residence hall features a cleverly designed “pinwheel” suite where 4-bedrooms are configured such that no interior walls are adjacent to the social living/kitchen area.  Contractor Granger Northern.
