Aldo Island Cabin

North Twin Lake, Maine - 1999

This one bedroom cabin with diagonally framed loft was designed and built on a shoestring budget, twice. Fabricated first on the mainland to take advantage of electricity, the parts were numbered and rebuilt on the island. Local recycled materials and equipment make this one of the greenest structures ever designed by ARCADIA designworks.

ARCADIA designworks seeks to interpret their clients means and spatial needs into award-winning architecture that is imaginative and appropriate for its intended use. Guided by sustainable design principles Ad's designers work to achieve practical, bio-friendly and energy efficient buildings.
