Sacred Heart & St. Dominic's Church, Chapel & Elevator

Portland, Maine - 2004

This task was to find space for an elevator in this 100 year old church aspe. Investigations of the sub-basement with flashlights and mirrors by Ad's architect revealed a false wall that could be removed allowing easy installation and preventing costly redesign of the church kitchen. A later Chapel design project included new rarados with reused stained glass windows and plaster bas relief altar sculpture.

ARCADIA designworks seeks to interpret their clients means and spatial needs into award-winning architecture that is imaginative and appropriate for its intended use. Guided by sustainable design principles Ad's designers work to achieve practical, bio-friendly and energy efficient buildings.
